1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, using or accessing grocescan (“the app”), you agree to these Terms & Conditions. If you do not agree, please uninstall the app.

2. About the App

grocescan is an AI-powered grocery assistant capable of:

• scanning perishable food items via camera,
• scanning barcodes on packaged products and cosmetics,
• predicting freshness, shelf life, spoilage risk,
• providing storage suggestions and safety insights,
• giving nutrition or ingredient warnings.

3. Not a Medical or Professional Advice Tool

grocescan predictions and health recommendations are informational only. The app does not provide medical, dietary, or legal advice.

4. User Responsibilities

You agree not to:

• use the app for illegal or harmful purposes,
• upload inappropriate content,
• attempt to reverse engineer the app,
• misuse ingredient/health warnings.

5. Accuracy of Predictions

grocescan uses AI models to estimate freshness and identify products, but accuracy is not guaranteed.

6. Accounts (If You Create One)

• you must provide accurate information,
• you are responsible for keeping your password secure,
• MEHErix may suspend accounts for violations.

7. Subscription & Paid Features (If Available)

Some advanced features may require a subscription. Payments follow App Store and Google Play rules.

8. Data & Privacy

Your privacy is governed by the grocescan Privacy Policy.

9. Intellectual Property

The app, branding, models, and content belong to MEHErix Oy. You may not copy, modify, or redistribute the app without permission.

10. Limitation of Liability

MEHErix Oy is not responsible for:

• incorrect AI predictions,
• health or nutrition decisions made based on the app,
• product misidentification,
• any damage caused by misuse of the app.

11. Termination

MEHErix may suspend or terminate access for violations of these Terms.

12. Changes to the App

Features may change at any time without notice.

13. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by Finnish law and applicable EU regulations.
