GroceScan is not a doctor and not medical advice. It gives general safety and health impact hints based on product type and ingredients, but for allergies, diseases, or serious health questions you must follow professional medical advice and local food safety guidelines.
In the planned design, photos are stored only as long as needed to give you a result. Later versions will give you full control to keep or delete your scan history. Faces are not the focus — the app looks only at the product and label.
Early prototypes will focus on English and a small group of local markets. The goal is to support multiple label languages step by step.
Freshness prediction is an estimate, based on product type, typical storage rules, and visible quality. Real-life conditions (temperature, transport, hygiene) can change things, so you should still use your senses and local food safety rules.
GroceScan is not partnered with any company or brand, and it is not an advertising platform. The AI reads labels and public information to give neutral, educational suggestions about products. Any mention of brands or products is only for explanation and comparison, not for paid promotion.
